STAGE FIVE INVID PILOT

The stage five invid pilot is the result of the Regis's "enlightened evolution" The stage five invid looks exactly like a human, attractive, slender, and tall (about 6 ft/1.8 m).

This is the Regis's current view of the ideal life-form, perhaps subliminally patterned after her dear Zor. Like a human, the stage five pilot has a well developed intellect capable of independent thought, deductive reasoning, inventiveness and theory. Of all the invid pilots, the stage five pilot is the most like the Regis. Whether this will be the last step in the invid races evolution is not known. However, it does seem to be what the Regis is leaning toward.

One problem with the human form and truly independent thought is the loss of the one mind. The stage five invid warrior pilot can make his/her own decisions and, for the first time in invid history, defy the will of the Regis or Invid Brain. Which is exactly what happens with Marlene/Ariel and Sera in the TV series.

Another potential problem is the presence of emotions previously unknown to the lesser invid. The stage five invid pilot experiences the full range of human emotions, from anger and hatred to love and fear. Emotions are something the Regis herself does not quite understand. Unfortunately, subjective thought is not possible without them.

One very important issue that was and has been left out, that is the adaptability of these new creations. Even though they can think for themselves the Regis supplies them with some sort of direction and purpose. After the Regis left the Earth those that were once loyal became confused and left off on their own to explore something they had never had, freedom. Others stayed loyal the invid way of life, thus still controlled and loyal with the Invid Brains left behind to cultivate the Flower of Life.

These problems, and other considerations, have made the Regis hesitate and reconsider the next great evolutionary step. Currently, she is deploying the stage five pilots as commanders to lead and direct the lesser invid. Many have been sent back to Earth to see how well they will fare against the insurrection and cunning of the humans. A baptism of fire.

As always, the stage five invid are linked to the Regis in spirit and are able to receive her telepathic and empathic transmissions. At this point, the Regis is to far away to keep a foothold on all of her children individually and has to direct them through the Invid Brains. This still will not control all of this new generation of the invid evolution.

Note: Any attribute of 16, 17 or 18 provides a bonus roll of 1D6. A roll above 18 from 4D6 does not provide a bonus roll. The stage five invid pilot looks exactly human and can survive outside it's mecha indefinitely.

Skills: (equivalent to Earth skills): Pilot Royal Command Battloid 90%, Mecha Combat (RCB only!), Navigation (land, air, water) 80%, Navigation: (Space) 75%, Detect Ambush 60%, Detect Concealment 50%, Weapon Systems (RCB only!)(+5%), Read Sensory (Type II only!)(+8%), Optic Systems (Types I - III)(+5%), Prowl (+5%) Radio Basic (+10%), W.P. Energy Pistol, W.P. Energy Rifle. Most skills start off at level profit plus, the applied bonuses. All other skills can be learned if taught.

Special Abilities: Some presence of other invid within a one mile area.

Telepathic Communication: (Invid Range: 100 miles, can not communicate with non-invid through this method).
